PBJ is Kenichi Iwaya's dream. After working and gaining experience in various cotton and textile factories in Japan, he decided to form his own brand in 1997. His obsession has always been to produce unique fabrics with texture and character on shuttle looms in Ibara, Okayama, using the finest cottons from India and the USA.
These pants are made from a 12.5 oz Sashiko (an ancient Japanese technique meaning "small stitches") woven fabric dyed with indigo and black sulfur giving it an incredible texture and great fade potential .
The relaxed fit combines a higher rise and a slightly tapered silhouette toward the hem, offering comfort and versatility for a contemporary style. Finished with signature PBJ details, these five-pocket pants embody craftsmanship and tradition for those who appreciate thoughtful design and superior quality.
